5 Advices To Prevent Eye Allergy

Allergies are the result of certain substances on body’s activity.  These substances are called allergens and can trigger a diversity of symptoms in the body. Each body reacts in a different way to these substances. Since the eyes are very receptive organs, allergies in the eyes should be avoided.

Here are presented five methods that can prevent eye allergies:

1.    The simplest method to keep yourself protected from eye allergies is to ensure that you keep away from or at the very least minimize any probable contact to allergens.

If your eyes are receptive to certain foods, aromas or dust, you should regularly clear your house and to keep away from allergens. To defend yourself from dust, wear clear eye glasses on particularly windy days. As well, when you know what exact allergens are the reason of your allergy, you should keep your distance from them.

2.    Always keep an antihistamine easily to get to. If you are allergic to food items like peanuts or shellfish, you could at times innocently eat foods with these ingredients, in spite of the best precautions. To stay away from the disagreeable reactions caused by allergies, always carry an oral anti allergy drug with you.

3.    Eyes can often get irritated or feel sensitive when they are overexposed to rays from televisions or computers. To relax and moisturize the eyes, keep a salty solution handy. Use a clean, sterilized dropper to put saline drops in your eyes. This is the best way to relax eyes. Use this at least twice a day and whenever you come in from the outside.

4.    Once a week, give your eyes a good wash using a saline rinse and an eye cup. Eye cups are accessible in medical stores and all you have to do to use them is to fill them with clean or saline water and lower your head to rest the eye socket onto the cup. Then raise your head along with the eye cup, tipping your head backwards so that your eyes can be cleaned systematically.

5.    You should always wash your hands before you touch your eyes or eye lids; this lesson was studied by us since we were children. You can by coincidence make the allergens come into contact with your eye if you do not wash your hands frequently and touch your eyes. In other words, we should keep everything clear, and in the result we can significantly prevent eye allergies that are so disagreeable for our body.
