A blackhead is a result of dead skin cells and sebum blocking the hair follicle near the surface of the skin. They cause the oily pores to enlarge which later roughen and course. When a pore is fully blocked it results in a blackhead.
Some of the home remedies for removing black heads are:
- Apply black pepper mixed with curd for about ten minutes on your skin and then wash it off. Regularly doing applying would help you get rid of blackheads.
- Mix Oatmeal and yogurt and then apply on the infected area. Leave it for about seven minutes after which you can rinse with cold water.
- Mix cornstarch with vinegar. Apply it for about half an hour and then wash it with warm water. You will see the difference soon.
- Peel the cucumber and place it in a blender. Apply the paste for almost 25 minutes. This technique will not just clear your skin but will also cool down your face making you feel fresh.
- Warm honey
- A lotion made by mixing equal quantities of glycerin, almond oil and lime juice
- Apply turmeric powder with mint juice and wash it with luke warm water.
- Apply the paste of fenugreen leaves gently on the face and wash it with a warm water
Some of the face packs that can be used to remove blackheads are:
- Fuller’s earth pack with rose water
- Mix calamine mixture with kaoline powder with rose water.
- Mix sandalwood with rose water
- Mash grapes is a very effective technique to maintain the acid balance of normal skin.
Some other ways to get rid of blackheads are:
- Change your pillow cover frequently so that the oil that accumulates on the pillow gets back on your face.
- Always bathe in warm water which helps to open the pores of the skin.
- Cleanse the areas that get more black head thoroughly. After washing your face use a dry towel to wipe your face as a used towel will contain oil and dirt which will again get on your face.
